Steel beams sized per plan are joined end-to-end using a 3/8-inch by 6-inch by 1-foot 8-1/2-inch plate on the near side and far side. The connection is secured with six 1-inch diameter A490-PT-STD bolts on each side of the splice. Bolt spacing is detailed at 2 inches from the end and 3 inches on center. Trolley clearance must be verified with the equipment provided.
