A concrete fill over metal deck terminates at a bent plate edge of slab supported by an L4x4x3/8 outrigger spaced at four feet on-center maximum. The bent plate is connected with a quarter-inch weld. A wide flange beam runs parallel to the deck with a minimum two-inch clearance dimension to the edge condition. A stud is welded to the top flange of the wide flange beam through the metal deck. Fillet and partial joint penetration welds with quarter-inch sizes secure the structural steel components.
