A shoring wall assembly utilizes four-inch thick treated Hem-Fir No. 2 or better wood lagging spanning between steel soldier piles. The soldier piles are embedded in shafts backfilled with lean concrete and spaced at a maximum of ten feet on center. An anti-twist strap is located opposite of the pile web from the corresponding tieback per detail five on sheet SH5.0. Lagging backfill is provided behind the wood members to ensure continuous earth support.
