A structural connection between the top of a slab and a footing is anchored by seventy-six three-quarter-inch diameter by five-inch welded head studs spaced at six inches each side. A six-inch square grade 50 steel bar is positioned adjacent to the base plate assembly. Fillet welds of five-eighths inch size are specified typically at the plate and bar junctions. Threaded rods with nuts and washers secure the assembly through the embedded embedment plate.
