A concrete mechanical equipment pad bears on a slab on grade with a minimum thickness of one foot and one inch typical clearance. The pad is reinforced with number four rebars at eighteen inches each way in both directions. If the pad is not poured monolithically with the slab on grade, the cold joint concrete surface is roughened to a one-quarter inch amplitude. The pad dimensions are verified with mechanical drawings up to a maximum height of one foot.
