An inverted V-braced frame connection joins two buckling restrained braces to a supporting steel beam beneath a concrete over metal floor or roof deck. Stiffener plate number, size, and location are designated for design by the buckling restrained brace supplier, alongside the brace connection design itself. The protected zone encompasses the gusset plate and the steel core. The working point is established at the intersection of the framing centerlines, with beam connections located on the near side or far side as specified per plan.
