Standard rebar hooks include 90-degree and 180-degree hook configurations with required development lengths and extension dimensions based on bar diameters. The 90-degree hook detail shows a development length of Ldh equals twenty-two times the bar diameter with a twelve bar diameter tail extension. The 180-degree hook detail includes similar development lengths with a four bar diameter or two and one-half inch minimum extension. Critical sections and bend radius requirements are detailed with specific multipliers for number seven and smaller bars versus number eight and larger bars. Accompanying notes specify that lap splice lengths are based on sixty KSI rebar yield strength, normal concrete weight, and specific bar spacing and clear cover requirements.
