A continuous sixteen-gauge bent plate forms the edge closure at the perimeter steel beam per plan. The metal deck bears directly on the steel beam flange with a field-cut fit maintaining a minimum two-inch bearing overlap. A continuous weld secures the assembly with a three-quarter-inch weld size spaced at twelve inches on center.
