An existing hollow structural section column bears on a two-inch by thirty-five-inch by two-foot-one-inch base plate anchored to a concrete footing. The assembly is secured by four one-and-one-quarter-inch diameter by four-foot-long anchor bolts and includes a two-inch by five-inch by two-foot-one-inch shear key plate beneath. Non-shrink grout levels the base plate over the concrete footing. A new shear tube is connected per the structural schedule, and additional information is referenced on sheet S502.
