A concrete slab over metal deck is supported by a structural steel beam at the typical floor edge condition. A steel brace constructed from L3x3x1/4 angles is spaced at six feet maximum, with a minimum of one brace between intersecting beams, connecting back to a 3/8 inch square steel plate. Clip angles and drift-deflection connections provided by the supplier tie the curtain wall and glazing system to the edge of the slab and steel studs. Architectural finishes at the joint are coordinated to accommodate anticipated structural drift and deflection. The connection back to the slab references detail C4 on sheet S601.
