New threaded rods or deformed bar anchors are embedded into existing concrete by drilling a hole one-eighth inch larger than the diameter of the dowel or bolt and securing it with an approved epoxy adhesive. Minimum embedment lengths and lap splices conform to the general structural notes. Installation follows all manufacturer recommendations and project specifications.
