This structural detail shows a cross section of a reinforced concrete column with vertical reinforcing bars and lateral ties sized per the structural schedule. The concrete cover is maintained at 1 1/2 inches to the outside face of the ties. Each of the four corners features a 1-inch chamfer. Additional notes specify that vertical reinforcement must lap per the designated detail and column dowels must tie into the footing with standard hooks.
