A buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel frame using a pin-ended connection at the intersection of a column and a beam. A gusset plate projects from the column and beam intersection, reinforced by gusset reinforcing plates on both sides. A pin passes through the brace and gusset plate assembly to form the pinned connection. The framing members are sized per the structural elevation drawings.
