Wood blocking or joist framing runs parallel to the wall, secured by a drilled and epoxy-grouted threaded rod anchor. A bearing plate distributes the load at the face of the blocking. The detail applies to shear anchors that are not attached to a wall tie assembly, maintaining a two-inch minimum clearance.
