The concrete slab on grade rests on a four-inch layer of crushed rock over eighteen inches of non-expansive soil fill. An ASTM E 1745 Class C vapor barrier separates the concrete from the crushed rock sub-base. Steel reinforcing is centered in the slab as specified per plan.
