A steel column sits on a steel base plate anchored to a concrete footing with one and a half inches of non-shrink grout beneath. A concrete slab on grade interfaces with the footing blockout, while four number four Z-bars reinforce each side of the footing. A separate wall section details a pipe passing through a foundation wall with one inch of clearance all around within a five-inch sleeve. Number five reinforcing bars at twenty-four inches are placed above and below the sleeve in foundation walls and grade beams. Footings are thickened where pipes run less than twenty-four inches below the bottom of the footing, extending a minimum of one foot on each side of the sleeve.
