A wide flange beam connects to a solid wall through a gravity connection tied to studs and the beam web. An L6x4 angle brace is added depending on beam depth and field conditions. A horizontal drift joint is provided at the building skin near the window head to allow for vertical building deflection and seismic drift. A drift track connection accommodates differential movement as noted on structural general notes.
