A structural steel beam bears continuously over a steel column sized per plan. A base plate sized per schedule sits atop the column flange, secured with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld with a one-half inch minimum typical dimension. Four three-quarter inch diameter bolts fasten the connection through the plate.
