This structural plan detail shows steel kicker braces framing into a steel beam and column assembly. The support consists of a steel column and steel beam sized per plan and schedule. A one-inch closure plate connects the kickers to the structural member with a one-half-inch weld all around and a one-inch minimum clearance. The kicker braces are constructed from four-inch standard pipe schedule forty connected through six-by-four schedule forty reducers to six-inch standard pipe schedule forty typical members.
