A discontinuous slab joint features a concrete slab edge and slab joint configuration. Reinforcement consists of a number four bar placed at one inch clear from the top of the slab and extending one foot six inches above and below the joint intersection. A one-inch clear dimension is maintained along the vertical joint interface.
