The steel joist bears on an embed seat within a one-foot wide pocket in the tilt-up concrete wall panel, which extends to the top of the concrete. Two number four reinforcing bars are placed typically at the joist seats for local reinforcement. A continuous deck angle is anchored at the top of the wall, and the roof deck is secured to this angle with five-eighths inch diameter puddle welds. A continuous two-by treated wood blocking is fastened to the top of the panel using one-half inch diameter by ten-inch long galvanized carriage bolts with washers, countersunk flush, with nuts on the underside of the blocking. These bolts are spaced at four feet on center in the field and two feet on center at corners, with staggered patterns specified for both conditions.
