A stepped concrete slab on grade transition features an eight-inch thick vertical stem and an eighteen-inch wide thickened concrete footing. The assembly is reinforced with continuous number five top and bottom bars, along with number four hooked dowels spaced at eighteen inches on center. Additional four by eighteen by twenty-four inch dowels are provided at eighteen inches on center. A continuous three-by-three by one-quarter inch angle with one-half inch diameter dead-bottom anchors at sixteen inches on center is embedded at the upper edge.
