Two cold-formed steel bottom tracks are butted together end-to-end and attached to the supporting structure with two anchors at each track end spaced at minimum spacing. The track splice is positioned six inches clear from vertical studs typically, and twelve inches minimum clear from any jamb. Anchor types are specified per the wall schedule notes.
