A pipe penetration passes below the bottom of a concrete mat foundation. A sleeve with a diameter defined as pipe diameter plus one foot six inches is centered around the pipe. A minimum vertical clearance of twelve inches is maintained below the bottom of the mat foundation to the top of the sleeve. Backfill material surrounding the pipe penetration must comply with the geotechnical soil report recommendations.
