A diagonal brace constructed from an L3x3x3/8 angle extends from each outrigger to the top flange of the nearest steel beam, skewed as required. A 1/4 inch by 6 inch by 0 foot 6 inch weld plate connects to the diagonal brace, secured with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld to the beam and a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld to the brace. As an alternative to the field weld, the contractor may provide a connection using two 7/8 inch diameter A325 bolts. The supporting steel beam carries a concrete slab over a metal floor deck with an HSA anchor.
