The strip pour pattern divides a concrete slab on grade into alternating placement sections designated as pour one and pour two. Construction joints separate the individual strip pours running parallel between grid lines typically. Control joints intersect the strips perpendicularly at specified intervals per the control joint detail and specifications. A minimum duration of forty-eight hours is required between consecutive pours one and two to allow for initial concrete shrinkage.
