A structural wind girt connection is assembled using a 4-1/2 inch by 1/4 inch by 14 inch strap plate across the top flange with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds on three sides. An L4x4x1/4 angle, four inches long, is placed above and below on each end with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds connecting the components. A one-half inch clearance gap separates the aligned structural members.
