A hollow structural section beam frames into a steel channel, supported underneath by a hollow structural section post. A one-inch thick plate is aligned with each hollow structural section beam at a maximum spacing of four feet and welded to the steel channel with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. Teks screws secure the roof metal deck to the hollow structural section beam per roof metal deck notes. A two-foot zero-inch minimum clearance is maintained and verified with architectural drawings.
