A structural steel truss intersection features a top chord sized per truss elevation connected to vertical double angle members sized per elevation. A half-inch thick gusset plate connects the web members with five-sixteenth-inch typical fillet welds. Three-eighths-inch full height stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the web using quarter-inch fillet welds on three sides typical. A working point establishes the intersection geometry at the truss centerline.
