A wide-flange beam connects to a wide-flange column using a three-quarter-inch thick end plate secured by twelve seven-eighth-inch diameter A325-N bolts with standard holes in the column and plate. Three-eighths-inch fillet welds connect the top and bottom flanges. Five-eighths-inch full-width stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the column aligned with the beam flanges using five-sixteenths-inch typical fillet welds.
