A pipe penetration passes through a reinforced concrete slab, wrapped with one-inch foam. The bottom reinforcing bars jog around the pipe opening, matching the size and number of the main bottom reinforcement. Two number five by six-foot side bars are placed at each face with a typical two-foot spacing. The concrete profile slopes at a one-to-one slope to transition the reinforcement around the obstruction.
