A steel joist and girder bearing assembly is supported by a steel column. A stabilizer plate measuring 6 inches by 3/8 inch by 0 feet 6 inches with a 13/16-inch diameter hole is provided typically at all joists and girders. The 5-inch deep joist bearing end connects with two 1/2-inch diameter A325 erection bolts, while the 7 1/2-inch deep girder bearing end connects with two 3/4-inch diameter A325 erection bolts. Bottom chords are left unwelded to the stabilizer plate unless noted otherwise. A 3/8-inch by 4-inch by 1-foot-0-inch tie plate ties the metal roof deck across the support with 3/16-inch welds.
