A steel beam supports a metal deck and connects via a shear plate using two 7/8-inch diameter A325N bolts. The masonry wall is penetrated with through bolts and anchored using two 3/4-inch diameter Grade 36 smooth dowels on each side of the grid line. Additional support is provided by C10x15.3 channels on each side of the wall connected with four 7/8-inch diameter through bolts, with holes drilled through the wall and filled with adhesive. Steel plates measuring 3/8 inch by 13 inches and 1/4 inch by 9 inches are detailed in section A-A with fillet welds specified.
