An offset steel beam acts as a collector member, framing into a support assembly with three-quarter-inch top and bottom stiffeners welded to the support column or member. Three-quarter-inch cover plates are positioned at each side of the beam web, extending five-eighths of an inch top and bottom and welded after the beam is erected. An additional one-and-one-quarter-inch cover plate extends one inch top and bottom from the flange. Collector bolts are sized per plan and installed through the connection plates.
