An exterior dropped grade beam supports a stem wall and a concrete slab with a minimum thickness of six inches. The concrete slab features a two-foot minimum lap splice and maintains a standard two-inch clearance. The stem wall is reinforced with continuous horizontal number five rebar spaced at six inches on center and vertical number five rebar at twelve inches on center with ninety-degree bends at each end. A two-inch clearance is maintained typically throughout the assembly. Exterior curtain wall or cladding is provided by others per architectural drawings.
