A chevron or diagonal bracing connection frames into the flange of a wide-flange column. Buckling-restrained braces connect through gusset plates positioned below the intersecting beam centerline. Complete joint penetration welds secure the continuity plates to the column web and flanges typically on three sides. Beam stubs and framing members connect per plan with typical fillet welds at intersecting joints.
