Metal roof deck bears on a steel joist supported by a steel beam. The open-web steel joist features a standard joist seat depth resting on the top flange of the steel beam. A bolted connection secures the joist seat to the beam flange. A two-inch typical radius cutout is provided at the beam web transition. Detail references point to related intersections on sheet S7.2.
