Standard placement and staggering rules for mild steel top reinforcing bars in concrete slabs. Staggered conditions apply to all top bars except hooked bars at slab edges, with stagger dimensions determined per the bottom reinforcing schedule. Actual reinforcing placement not shown on plan is indicated with dashed lines, while diagrammatic reinforcing placement follows column and bay centerlines. Spacing is governed by the bottom reinforcing schedule with references to mid-bay centering when reference dimensions are omitted from the plan.
