A number four-slash-zero stranded bare copper conductor runs horizontally through a trench surrounded by engineered fill or metallurgical coke backfill material. The lower zone containing the metallurgical coke measures one foot deep by one foot wide, positioned between one foot six inches and two feet six inches below the finished grade. The upper portion of the trench is filled with select, compacted native backfill. Vertical dimensions indicate a total trench depth of two feet six inches from the finished grade to the bottom of the excavation.
