Connection of a W12x26 or W10x26 shape girt to a column flange or web utilizing a bracket detail and a girt connection detail. The girt connection employs two 3x3x5/16 inch double angles secured with two 3/4 inch diameter A325-SC-OVS bolts on each side, with specified 3/16 inch fillet welds applied on three sides typically. The bracket detail and typical section designate the girt alignment relative to the column centerline and the girt line. A note requires coping the inside flanges of the girt channel at each end at the support bracket as required.
