An HSS 10x10x5/8 hollow structural section column supports framing HSS beams equipped with three-eighths-inch end plates. Symmetrical L5x3x1/2-by-zero-foot-seven angles are centered beneath the beams on both sides and secured with quarter-inch fillet welds on both sides. Three-eighth-by-three-by-zero-foot-five plates are positioned on both sides and attached with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on both sides. Intersecting beams are omitted from the view for clarity. Additional plates are referenced per sheet 10/S-552, and the column size is determined from the structural column schedule.
