A steel beam connects to a steel column through a bolted shear tab on the beam web. External continuity plates and cover plates are installed on each side of the column. Top and bottom plates along with fuse plates are bolted across the beam flanges to the column assembly. A horizontal shear plate is provided where required between the framing members.
