A structural steel strut and truss connection assembly integrating hollow structural sections, truss joists, and truss girders with concrete elements. The connection incorporates a half-inch by seven and three-quarter inch by two-foot plate and a half-inch by eight-inch by one-foot-two-inch plate reinforced with three number six bars five feet long. Additional connection plates include a three-quarter-inch by five-inch plate on each side of the web and a three-eighths-inch by seven-and-three-quarter-inch plate. Fillet welds of quarter-inch and five-sixteenths-inch sizes using low-hydrogen electrodes secure the steel plates and hollow structural sections. Welded wire fabric reinforcement of four-by-four W2.1 by W2.1 is set in epoxy grout applied after welding. Roof sheathing ties into the assembly with quarter-inch gusset plates.
