A buckling-restrained braced frame column base connection is supported by a one-and-a-half-inch-thick base plate and a gusset plate. The wide-flange column is secured with eight one-inch-diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 55 weldable anchor bolts featuring one-and-seven-eighths-inch-diameter holes and one-inch-by-four-inch square plate washers. One-and-a-half-inch-diameter grout holes are provided in the base plate. Complete joint penetration welds connect the components.
