An HSS10x6 hollow structural section column is tied to a continuous one-half-inch steel plate per plan. A quarter-inch fillet weld secures the assembly with a three to twelve spacing. The continuous plate extends with a maximum three-foot six-inch dimension per architectural requirements and a one-half-inch offset.
