A wide-flange steel beam connects to a vertical column member using a bolted web shear tab connection. Four high-strength bolts secure the beam web to the connection plate welded to the support. Above the steel framing, a concrete floor slab on composite metal deck bears across the top flange with headed shear studs anchoring the assembly.
