The assembly comprises a concrete slab poured over metal decking and supported by a structural steel edge beam sized per plan. The perimeter edge is contained by a continuous 12-gauge edge form reinforced with two continuous number 4 rebar and secured with 3/4-inch diameter field plug welds spaced at 12 inches on center. Detail B utilizes a 14-gauge by 1-inch wide strap spaced at a maximum of 36 inches, while Detail C incorporates 3-inch by 14-gauge Z clips welded to the edge form and edge beam at 24 inches on center. Additional temperature reinforcement consists of number 3 rebar spaced at 12 inches on center. The contractor is required to verify the structural adequacy of the edge form prior to concrete placement.
