Floor sheathing bears across a steel beam sized per plan with a four-times-width flange nailer secured by three-quarter-inch threaded weld studs at one foot six inches on center, counter-sunk with a maximum one-inch dap. Nailing along the beam requires two rows of boundary nailing sized per plan. A Simpson JB type joist hanger typically connects the wood joist to the support assembly.
