This concrete wall construction joint detail establishes the interface between a first and second concrete pour. The joint features a roughened surface with a one-quarter-inch minimum amplitude and a continuous edge notch. A continuous two-by-four is embedded at the joint face and removed prior to the second pour. Form ties span across the joint, with formwork placed on both exposed faces.
