A cold-formed steel triple stud column ties into a 16-gauge bottom track at the base. Two number 10 sheet metal screws secure each side of the column to the bottom track with a minimum of four total. Attachment to the supporting substrate uses four quarter-inch by two-and-one-quarter-inch Titen screws at concrete or four self-drilling screws of quarter-inch by four-and-one-half-inch at wood floors with added blocking as necessary, centered at the triple stud column. An isometric view shows one-eighth-inch fillet welds spaced one-to-twelve typical on each side.
